## Synopsis

The Tailor (2023) is a Turkish period drama mystery series created by Onur Güvenatam for Netflix. Çağatay Ulusoy plays Peyami Dokumacı, a celebrated tailor whose craft brings him close to his best friend Dimitri (Salih Bademci) and to Esvet / Firuze Çelik (Şifanur Gül), the fiancée he is sewing a wedding dress for. Each of the three carries a buried past, and the engine of the show is the slow pressure of those secrets as they press against loyalty, love and reputation. Episodes unfold through threads of old wounds and present-day deceptions, with Olgun Şimşek as Mustafa Dokumacı adding a family dimension to the tangle. The series runs across three seasons and twenty-three episodes, told as one continuing story where each reveal reshapes the last. Set in a richly textured Istanbul-inspired world of fabric workshops, tailoring rooms and elegant social gatherings, it carries a melancholic, tense atmosphere where beauty masks decay. Its tone sits between intimate drama and suspense. Fans of The Night Manager, Dark and Bridgerton will find resonance in its secrets-driven intrigue and romantic tension.
