## Synopsis

Family Guy (1999-2026) is an American adult animated sitcom created by Seth MacFarlane for FOX. Bumbling Peter Griffin (voiced by Seth MacFarlane) and his long-suffering wife Lois (Alex Borstein) run a chaotic middle-class household in a New England town, with their oldest daughter Meg (Mila Kunis), middle child Chris (Seth Green), and a scheming baby Stewie (MacFarlane) bent on world domination. The engine of the series is the constant collision of ordinary family life with absurd escalation: a bad decision leads to a town-wide disaster, a cutaway digression into an unrelated gag, or a parody of a film or television classic. Brian, a talking dog who sips martinis while sorting through his own unsteady life, anchors the satire. Episodes move at a brisk clip and are built from rapid cold-open jokes, pop culture references and cutaway interruptions rather than a single continuing arc. The tone is crude, irreverent and deliberately offensive, with sharp social satire underneath the gags. Across twenty-four seasons it has become a long-running staple of the format. Fans of The Simpsons, South Park and King of the Hill will find the same satirical bite and cartoon family chaos here.
