## Synopsis

The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash (2024) is a Japanese animated isekai fantasy series created for TOKYO MX and BS Asahi, adapted from a light novel and produced by STUDIO MASSKET. Ivy (voiced by Aina Suzuki) is a girl born without a star-granted ability, which her village treats as an ill omen, so she is banished and survives by salvaging rubbish in the forest. Her life changes when she befriends Sora (Mutsumi Tamura), a frail little slime, and the two set out together on a journey that mixes scavenging, makeshift survival and quiet discovery. Supporting voices include Shunichi Toki as Marma and Fumi Hirano as Ruba, filling out a fantasy world where tamers wield creatures and the rules of power feel unfair. The engine of the story is simple: an outcast who wants a place to belong must prove her worth while avoiding the threats of the wild. The single season of twelve episodes, aired as a 24-minute weekly series, moves at an easy, heartwarming pace. Its tone is gentle, hopeful and warm, with a theme of finding value where others see none. Fans of Tensura: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime and Made in Abyss will find resonance in its monster companionship and underdog spirit.
