## Synopsis

Fallen (2024) is a German-language supernatural romance series created by Lauren Kate and Claudia Bluemhuber for Sky Atlantic. Adapted from the novel series, it follows Luce (Jessica Alexander), a young woman sent to a cult-like rehab facility called Sword & Cross to serve time for a crime she cannot remember committing. Among the residents she meets the enigmatic Daniel Grigori (Gijs Blom) and the exasperating but irresistible Cameron Jordan (Timothy Innes), all watched over by the sinister chief doctor Howson. Devout twin sisters Miriam and Sophia add to the claustrophobic institutional pressure. The engine of the story is Luce's effort to recover her own identity while the facility's rules tighten around her, and each episode layers flashbacks and hints onto a growing sense that her connection to Daniel runs far deeper than their time inside. The single eight-episode season unfolds as one continuing mystery rather than standalone cases. Its tone is brooding and romantic, with eerie undercurrents and a restless sense of dread beneath the love story. Fans of Shadowhunters, The Vampire Diaries and Lost will find resonance in its blend of mythic romance, secrets and a bond that outlasts a single life.
