Viewers find the premise of a niece inheriting a dark web assassin weapons shop intriguing and the story builds well, though the fight scenes and frequent timeline switching are faulted.

## Synopsis

A Shop for Killers (2024-2026) is a South Korean action thriller series created by E.oni and Lee Kwon for Disney+. Orphaned niece Jeong Ji-an (Kim Hye-jun) grew up under her uncle Jeong Jin-man (Lee Dong-wook), who runs a shopping mall that hides a weapons shop serving assassins and mercenaries. When her uncle dies suddenly, she inherits the business and begins uncovering the truth about his past and her own bloodline. Geum Hannah plays So Min-hye, a figure tied to the mall's criminal network, while Hyunri's Q adds a hacker's edge to the operation. The series runs for two seasons and sixteen hour-long episodes, following a serialized engine of pursuit, hidden cameras, and shifting alliances as the protagonist learns who to trust. Its style blends sleek violence with family melodrama and a tense, paranoid mood. Its timeline moves between past and present, so attention pays off. Fans of Killing Eve, Money Heist and Ozark will find resonance in its mix of criminal intrigue and personal stakes. Set in contemporary Seoul, the story keeps its focus on the mall as a hub of danger, a place where ordinary life and lethal business coexist, and its characters' loyalties are repeatedly tested.
