## Synopsis

Alpha Males (Machos alfa) is a Spanish comedy series created by Laura Caballero, Alberto Caballero, Daniel Deorador and Araceli Álvarez de Sotomayor for Netflix. Four longtime friends, Pedro, Luis, Raúl and Santi, drift through a present-day Spain that has changed around them, where women are increasingly empowered and the men's old assumptions no longer hold. Their engine is a series of haphazard, often clumsy attempts to adjust, with each episode built from everyday friction between the men and the women in their lives. The show runs as a continuing comedy with ongoing story threads rather than standalone episodes. Its tone is cringe-prone, sardonic and affectionate, with a sharp eye for male ego. Fans of Friends and Curb Your Enthusiasm will find resonance in its awkward, character-driven humor, though the tone stays light and brisk, with few stakes beyond social embarrassment and small domestic frictions. The result is a comedy that laughs at its protagonists while still recognizing their affection for one another.
