## Synopsis

The Snow Girl (2023-2025) is a Spanish crime mystery series created for Netflix, with its source a novel. Milena Smit plays Miren Rojo, a young journalist in Málaga who grows fiercely determined to uncover what happened when a girl vanishes, risking her career and safety to bring closure to the grieving family. Jose Coronado as Eduardo and Aixa Villagrán as Belén Millán orbit her investigation, adding personal stakes and hidden loyalties as the search pulls the city's quieter corners into view. The engine is simple and relentless: each episode peels back another layer of a case that refuses easy answers, with interviews, dead ends, and quiet confrontations driving the plot forward. Told across two seasons of six episodes each, it is a serialized investigation rather than a case of the week. The atmosphere is tense and melancholic, with the coastal Andalusian light contrasting the cold dread of a family's unanswered questions. Its mood sits in the tradition of Spanish prestige crime drama, and fans of Unbelievable, Broadchurch and Dark will find similar resonance in its grounded, character-led unease and its patient unraveling of a disappearance.
