## Synopsis

Zero Day (2025) is a American political thriller miniseries created by Eric Newman, Noah Oppenheim and Michael S. Schmidt for Netflix. Robert De Niro plays former President George Mullen, who is called out of retirement to find the source of a deadly cyberattack, while Jesse Plemons, Lizzy Caplan and Angela Bassett populate the investigation alongside him. The engine of the story is a dangerous hunt through government corridors and private agendas, where each new lead reveals another layer of deception. Told across six hour-long episodes, it moves like a single continuous inquiry rather than a case-of-the-week format. Its tone is tense, paranoid and propulsive, with a sense that truth itself has been weaponized. Fans of Designated Survivor, Homeland and Mr. Robot will find resonance in its mix of political maneuvering, national security stakes and conspiracies that reach into the highest offices of power.
