## Synopsis

I'm in Love with the Villainess (2023) is a Japanese animated isekai romance series created for TOKYO MX and produced by Platinum Vision, Ichijinsha, King Records and Asmik Ace. Based on a light novel, its single twelve-episode season follows a corporate drone who wakes up as Rae Taylor, the heroine of her favorite otome game Revolution. Voiced by Yu Serizawa, Rae is elated to court Claire François, the game's villainess, voiced by Karin Nanami. Armed with knowledge of the story and the events to come, Rae sets out to make Claire fall for her, and each episode is a light, self-contained push of courtship, misunderstanding and comic escalation. Supporting voices include Daisuke Namikawa as Thane Bauer and Yoko Hikasa as Yu Bauer. The tone is earnest, playful and warmly romantic, with a cozy, breezy feel. Set within a fantasy magic school world built around game conventions, the series sits in the lineage of isekai romance and girls love comedy, and fans of Ascendance of a Bookworm, Bloom Into You and Okiku-san Wants to Be a Villainess will find a similar pleasure in game-world reincarnation and tender courtship.
