## Synopsis

Unnamed Memory (2024-2025) is a Japanese anime fantasy series adapted from a light novel and aired on AT-X. Centered on the ancient witch Tinasha, voiced by Atsumi Tanezaki, and the treasure-hunting Oscar, voiced by Yoshiki Nakajima, the story begins when a prince proposes that Tinasha marry him, since she is strong enough to survive the curse that kills any woman he takes as a wife. She agrees to live in the royal castle for a year while researching the spell, and the arrangement brings together a cast that includes Shuichiro Umeda as Lazar and Takuya Sato as Als. The engine of the series is a steady quest to understand and break the curse, paired with a slow-building romance and the uneasy partnership between two strong-willed leads. The single season of twenty-four episodes mixes courtly intrigue, magical duels, and sword and sorcery adventure with frequent lighter banter. Set in an invented fantasy kingdom with castles, enchanted towers, and deadly magical trials, the series balances playful humor with an undercurrent of mystery about the witch's past. Its tone is warm and gently adventurous, with a sense of wonder. Fans of Re:Zero and The Ancient Magus' Bride will find resonance in its blend of magic, romance, and a heroine who hides much more than she reveals.
