## Synopsis

Woman in a Veil (2023) is a South Korean melodrama series created for KBS2, a long-form soap opera with a revenge-driven engine. Jung Gyeo-wool (Shin Go-eun) loses her sight and her ability to walk after a materialistic husband and his mistress leave her broken, and she sets out to win back her life through a scheme of deception and retribution. Around her move Oh Se-rin (Choi Yoon-young), Ju Ae-ra (Lee Chae-young), Seo Tae-yang (Lee Sun-ho), and Jung Young-joon (Lee Eun-hyung), whose tangled loyalties and rivalries keep every episode turning. The story unfolds across a single season of 103 episodes, each around forty minutes, built from confrontations in wealthy households, secret alliances, and reversals of fortune. Its world is the polished but ruthless milieu of Korean chaebol families, where status, money, and inheritance become weapons. The tone is heightened and emotionally intense, with suffering, betrayal, and vengeful satisfaction driving a melodramatic register that fans of The Penthouse: War in Life, Revenge, and Sky Castle will find familiar and absorbing.
