## Synopsis

Fireworks of My Heart (2023) is a Chinese television romance drama created by Jiu Yuexi and broadcast on Hunan Television and Mango TV. Fire chief Song Yan (Yang Yang) and emergency doctor Xu Qin (Wang Churan) were kept apart a decade earlier when family opposition tore them away from each other. Their reunion comes through the pressures of their jobs, as they race together through rescue missions where life and death are decided in minutes. Each episode is built from emergency calls, shared shifts and the quiet moments between them, while old wounds and the lingering effects of trauma test whether they can rebuild trust. Supporting characters around the firehouse and the hospital add friendship and rivalry to the story. The series is a single-season, forty-episode run that moves at the pace of a workplace drama, with the emotional register kept warm, tender and earnest. Its focus on rescuers who carry invisible scars gives the romance weight beyond its premise. Fans of Grey's Anatomy and Chicago Fire will find resonance in its blend of professional stakes and slow-burning longing, along with the emotional sincerity of classic Chinese romantic drama.
