## Synopsis

Mission: Yozakura Family (2024-present) is a Japanese animated shounen comedy series adapted from the manga of the same name, produced by SILVER LINK. and broadcast across a wide network of Japanese stations. Orphaned high schooler Taiyo Asano is left to fend for himself until his childhood friend and classmate Mutsumi Yozakura, secretly the head of a family of spies, drags him into a marriage of convenience to keep her dangerously protective brother Kyoichiro from killing him. The engine of the series is the mounting absurdity of that pretense: Taiyo tries to live a normal school life while the Yozakura clan, including siblings Futaba, Shion and Nanao, pursues covert missions and comic family rivalries. Each episode mixes slapstick, quick action set pieces and awkward teenage romance, with the household's rule that family cannot kill family giving the bickering a warm undertow. The series runs across two seasons and fifty-one episodes, structured as episodic adventures under a continuing romantic arc. Its setting is contemporary urban Japan, a modern city of schools, apartments and clandestine operations. The tone is breezy, playful and affectionate, with flashes of action. Fans of Spy x Family and Kaguya-sama: Love Is War will find resonance in its blend of spy antics and romantic comedy.
