## Synopsis

Ron Kamonohashi's Forbidden Deductions (2023-2024) is a Japanese animated detective series created for AT-X and TOKYO MX, produced by diomedéa, and adapted from a manga. Ron Kamonohashi, once a celebrated prodigy at the top detective academy, was expelled after a fatal mistake and is now a messy-haired recluse forbidden from ever working as a detective. When police officer Totomaru Isshiki arrives at his door seeking help with a serial murder case, the two form a mismatched investigative team that tackles one unsettling crime after another. The engine of each episode is the deduction itself: Ron's sharp, unorthodox reasoning clashing with Isshiki's by-the-book persistence while a criminal organization looms behind the killings. The season runs 26 episodes of roughly 24 minutes, building a single continuing storyline across its run. Its setting is a contemporary Japanese city of police stations and crime scenes. The tone blends sardonic banter and bromance warmth with tense, violent investigative beats. Fans of Sherlock and Moriarty the Patriot will find resonance in its brilliant-outsider detective and partnership dynamics.
