## Synopsis

Yo Gabba Gabba! (2007-2015) is an American preschool animation and music series created by Christian Jacobs and Scott Schultz for Nick Jr. and Nickelodeon. Its host is DJ Lance Rock, played by Lance Robertson, who shares a colorful world with five costumed toy characters, among them Toodee, voiced by Erin Pearce, Foofa, voiced by Emma Penrose, Brobee, voiced by Amos Watene, Plex, voiced by Christian Jacobs, and Muno, voiced by Adam Deibert. The engine of each half-hour episode is simple: the gang picks a single everyday topic, such as sharing, manners or getting dressed, and explores it through songs, short animated storylines and sketches that teach social and life skills. The show invites small viewers to move and dance along with the characters. Across four seasons and 69 episodes, it stays a consistent, self-contained format rather than a continuing story, so any episode can be watched on its own. The tone is cheerful, goofy and warm, with a playful, almost psychedelic visual style drawn from 8-bit video games and campy 1970s kids television. Its guest slots for indie bands give the music a hip edge that parents often enjoy too. Fans of Sesame Street, The Wiggles and Pee-wee's Playhouse will find the same mix of gentle lessons and silly sing-along fun.
