## Synopsis

The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call (2025-present) is a South Korean medical drama series created by Lee Do-yoon for Netflix, adapted from a novel. Ju Ji-hoon plays Baek Kang-hyeok, a war-seasoned surgeon whose blunt, unconventional methods clash with and then galvanize a struggling trauma team, with Choo Young-woo as Yang Jae-won and Ahn Ha-young as Cheon Jang-mi among the principal staff around him. The engine of the series is the ongoing effort to build a top-tier trauma center from nothing, with every episode built around emergency cases that arrive minute by minute, surgeons racing against the clock, and interpersonal friction that tests whether the team can hold together. The show runs across two seasons of eight episodes each, unfolding as one continuing story rather than isolated cases. Set in a contemporary South Korean hospital, it is a tense, gritty, and emotionally warm production that balances dark, heavy moments of emergency care with humor and heart. Fans of Grey's Anatomy, The Resident and Hospital Playlist will find resonance in its ensemble dynamics and clinical intensity.
