## Synopsis

ECW Hardcore TV (1993-2000) is an American pro wrestling reality series created by Tod Gordon and Eddie Gilbert, produced under the Extreme Championship Wrestling banner. Its premise is spelled out in its overview: no rules, no regulations, and a single commandment to be extreme. The engine of each episode is a run of wrestling matches in which performers including Steve Corino, Vito LoGrasso, John Watson, Peter Polaco and Mark LoMonaco brawl through barbed-wire, chair and table spots, with the promotion's rebellious attitude against mainstream sports entertainment giving every bout its stakes. The series runs eight seasons and about 400 episodes, shot as a continuing television run of live-style cards rather than a scripted story arc. Its tone is raw, aggressive and intentionally uncomfortable, a rough, loud and sometimes sleazy spectacle built on crowd energy and physical punishment. Fans of WWE Raw, Beyond the Mat and Hardcore Homicide will recognize the same grit, the same appetite for brutality, and the same wrestling culture that defined a generation of independent promotions. Its present-day setting is the 1990s American wrestling scene, and the show remains a cult favourite for viewers who want unfiltered, rule-breaking sports entertainment.
