## Synopsis

Agatha Christie's Partners in Crime (1983-1984) is a British ITV1 period mystery series created by Jack Williams and produced by LWT. Adapted from Agatha Christie's stories, it follows newlyweds Tommy Beresford (James Warwick) and Tuppence Beresford (Francesca Annis), who run a small detective agency and take on one devious case after another. Their engine is simple and charming: a couple who bicker, banter and keep chasing clues, while stubborn police Inspector Marriott (Arthur Cox) and their assistant Albert (Reece Dinsdale) stand in their way or get pulled into the chase. Each of the eleven episodes is self-contained, a case of the week built on red herrings, suspicious guests and clever misdirection. The series spans one season of roughly fifty-minute episodes and is set in a postwar London with a glamorous, Roaring Twenties flavour. Its tone is witty, sparkling and warm, with a cozy nostalgia that makes it easy to watch. Fans of Agatha Christie's Poirot, The Thin Man and Moonlighting will find the same mix of playful romance and clever puzzles.
