## Synopsis

The Next Prince (2025) is a Thai television romance drama created by CEO for ONE 31. Reluctant heir Prince Khanin Assavadevathin (Chawarin Perdpiriyawong) is called to a tournament that will decide the next king, and the royal guard sent to escort him, Charan Phithakthewa (Pruk Panich), soon becomes his forbidden desire. Thanakrit Chiamchunya, Karn Kritsanaphan and Charintip Rungthanakiat also appear among the principal cast. Across a single fourteen-episode season, the engine is the pull between duty to a royal household and a love that the court would never allow, while each episode pushes the rival princes toward the contest and tests who can be trusted. The story plays out in a fictional kingdom with palace corridors, royal rivalries and a campus-tinged world that gives younger characters room to breathe. The tone mixes sweetness and humor with emotional pain and a heavier sense of power pressing on everyone. Fans of The Crown, Bridgerton and Ugly Duckling will find resonance in its blend of courtly politics, romantic longing and class tension, though it stays closer to a lighter romantic drama than to a dark political saga.
