## Synopsis

Danger Man (1960-1968) is a British espionage television series created by Ralph Smart and financed by Lew Grade's ITC Entertainment, broadcast on ITV1. Patrick McGoohan stars as secret agent John Drake, a composed operative who is sent into one tense assignment after another. Each episode is largely self-contained, built around a single mission that requires Drake to infiltrate, observe, and extract himself from hostile territory through wit and nerve. The series runs across four seasons and roughly eighty-six episodes, with a case-of-the-week shape that keeps the stakes immediate without a sprawling serial arc. Its atmosphere is restrained and procedural, with cool, understated suspense rather than explosive action, and it carries the wary mood of cold war intrigue. Set in the 1960s, the stories move through European cities and other international locales where allegiances are unclear. Fans of The Prisoner and The Avengers will find resonance in its stylish British spy sensibility and its emphasis on a lone agent navigating dangerous terrain.
