## Synopsis

HeartBeat (2023) is a South Korean fantasy romance miniseries created by Lee Min-soo, Jeong Seung-ju, Kim Ha-na and Lee Hyun-suk for KBS2. Its central pairing is a vampire, Seon Woo-hyeol (TAECYEON), who longs to experience the racing pulse of real love, and Joo In-hae (Won Ji-an), a cold-blooded woman whose guarded nature complicates every step toward him. Supporting roles are filled by Yoon So-hee as Na Hae-won and Park Kang-hyun as Shin Do-sik, whose lives tangle with the central pair. The engine of the story is a fragile romance pulled between an immortal's hunger and a human's wariness, with blood, a coffin-centered mythology and the question of whether a bloodless life can be called living shaping each episode. Told across sixteen episodes in a single continuing arc, the series moves at a steady pace from encounter to intimacy. Set in contemporary Seoul, it blends urban nightlife with gothic vampire imagery. Its tone is romantic, wistful and slightly eerie, with melancholic undercurrents and warm moments. Fans of Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo and Goblin will find resonance in its blend of supernatural longing and Korean romantic fantasy.
