## Synopsis

LOL: Last One Laughing Nederland (2023-present) is a Dutch comedy reality competition series created for Prime Video. Presenters Philippe Geubels and Jeroom Snelders oversee ten comedic talents, including participants Tineke Schouten, Roué Verveer, Nienke Plas, Rayen Panday, Gover Meit, Alex Ploeg, Soundos El Ahmadi and Jelka van Houten, who are locked into a single room with a six hour window. Their engine is simple and merciless: each contestant tries to make the others laugh while staying composed, and anyone who cracks is eliminated until one player remains. Each episode plays out as a tense, escalating contest of deadpan stares, improvised crowd work and mischievous sabotage, with the clock always ticking. The show runs four seasons of six episodes, a short and punchy format that rewards quick viewing. Its tone is cheerful and breezy, with sharp rivalry banter and a sense of playful cruelty that keeps the laughter frequent. Fans of Last One Laughing, Taskmaster and Comedy Central Roast will find a similar blend of stand up talent, competitive spirit and improvised wit, all wrapped in a light and crowd pleasing Dutch format.
