## Synopsis

My Demon (2023-2024) is a South Korean supernatural romantic comedy created by Choi A-il, Kim Jang-han and Kwon Da-som for SBS. A pitiless demon who has lost his powers is forced into a bodyguard role for an icy heiress, Do Do-hee, played by Kim You-jung, who may hold the key to restoring his abilities. Song Kang plays Jeong Gu-won, the demon at the center of the story, and the series builds its engine from the uneasy cohabitation between the two: he needs her to regain what he lost, she resists his presence, and every episode turns on the friction of an otherworldly being navigating ordinary chaebol life. Principal supporting roles are held by Kim Hae-sook, Lee Sang-yi and Jo Hye-joo. The single season of sixteen episodes runs as a continuing story rather than a case-of-the-week format, moving steadily from antagonism toward something tender. It is a classic k-drama production with an SBS broadcast pedigree, set in contemporary Seoul's wealthy circles. The tone is amused and gentle, with comforting warmth beneath the supernatural mischief. Fans of Goblin, My Love from the Star and Hotel Del Luna will find resonance in its blend of fantasy, banter and romance.
