## Synopsis

Drops of God (2023-present) is a French-Japanese prestige drama series created by Quoc Dang Tran and released on Apple TV. Estranged daughter Camille Léger (Fleur Geffrier) learns that her late father Alexandre Léger (Stanley Weber) has left her his extraordinary wine collection, but she must first best his protégé Issei Tomine (Tomohisa Yamashita) in a test of their senses. The engine of the show is a rivalry sharpened by blind tasting, family grief, and the question of who truly deserves a legacy. Each episode moves through vineyards, cellars, and wine auctions, with cases built around bottles, vintages, and the people who chase them. Thomas Chassangre (Tom Wozniczka) and the Inglese brothers add shifting alliances and complications. The series runs two seasons of eight episodes each, with a steady, character-driven pace. Its tone is sophisticated and emotionally layered, mixing wistful family drama with sharp competitive tension and moments of warmth. Set in present-day France and Japan, it has the sensual pleasures of fine dining and the sting of old wounds. Fans of Succession, Sideways, and The Bear will find resonance in its blend of inheritance rivalry, craft obsession, and high-end settings.
