## Synopsis

Reindeer Mafia (2023) is a Finnish national-television crime saga miniseries created for C More. Samuli Edelmann plays Sameli and Anna-Maija Tuokko plays Sara, members of a family ruling the northern wilderness, with Aake Kalliala as Rouku, Mikael Persbrandt as Stagge, and Kaija Pakarinen as Pirkko among the wider clan. The engine of the series is an inheritance: the northern matriarch's wills divide the family's lands among her heirs, and each relative schemes to protect a claim while buried secrets rise to the surface. Across eight episodes of roughly forty minutes each, the story moves through confrontations, betrayals, and uneasy alliances in a single continuing arc, so order matters. The setting is a remote northern Finnish landscape where reindeer herding, isolation, and old loyalties shape every decision. The tone blends black humor with hard-edged family menace, giving the proceedings a wry, sardonic bite beneath the tension. Fans of Succession, Fargo, and Bordertown will find resonance in its mix of dynastic rivalry, darkly comic cruelty, and rural criminal ambition. It is a compact, self-contained miniseries that delivers a complete arc in a single season.
