## Synopsis

The Dead Zone (2002-2007) is an American supernatural drama series created by Shawn Piller and Michael Piller for USA Network, adapted from the Stephen King novel. Anthony Michael Hall plays Johnny Smith, a former schoolteacher who wakes from a long coma with the ability to see the future through touch. His engine is a tug between the life he lost and the visions that pull him into other people's crises. Nicole De Boer plays Sarah Bracknell Bannerman, a principal figure in his story, and Chris Bruno plays Walt Bannerman, with John L. Adams as Bruce Lewis. Across six seasons the show runs as a serialized drama in which many episodes are built around a case of the week, with each vision forcing Johnny toward a dangerous choice. Set in present day small town America, its atmosphere is melancholic and grounded, with a supernatural mystery woven into ordinary lives. Fans of Medium and Haven will find resonance in its blend of psychic investigation, personal grief, and moral weight. The series was canceled, leaving its story unfinished.
