## Synopsis

Heartland (2007-present) is a Canadian family drama series created by Heather Conkie for CBC Television. Set on the Flemings' ranch in the Alberta foothills, it follows Amy Fleming (Amber Marshall), a young woman who inherits her late mother's gift for working with damaged animals, alongside her father Tim Fleming (Chris Potter) and sister Lou Fleming (Michelle Morgan). Their kind, hard-working household takes in abused or neglected horses and tries to restore them to health, while debts pile up and the bank looms as the family struggles to keep the ranch running. Ty Borden (Graham Wardle) and Jack Bartlett (Shaun Johnston) add further weight to the ensemble as the family's circle of friends and community. Each episode is built around a rescued horse, a training challenge, or a personal crisis for one of the family members, with the larger story carried by grief, marriage, and the slow work of healing across a long-running run of seasons. The tone is warm, earnest and gently hopeful, with a rustic pastoral look that feels rooted in rural Canadian life. Fans of All Creatures Great and Small, Little House on the Prairie and The Waltons will find the same comforting rhythm of animals,家族 bonds and rural perseverance here.
