## Synopsis

Creature Commandos (2024-present) is an American adult animated spin-off series created by James Gunn for Max, set within the DC Universe. The series follows a secret government squad of incarcerated monsters recruited for missions considered too dangerous for ordinary humans. Frankenstein, voiced by David Harbour, anchors a roster that includes The Bride (Indira Varma), Dr. Phosphorus (Alan Tudyk), and Nina Mazursky (Zoë Chao), each pulled into operations by a handler whose orders are never in their interest. Each episode is built around a sharp, self-contained mission full of gore, bickering, and wry character moments, while the team's shared history slowly deepens across the run. Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) looms over the operation as the figure who makes the monsters' choices for them. The tone blends bloody action with deadpan black comedy and a streak of genuine pathos, so fans of Harley Quinn, The Boys, and Doom Patrol will find familiar pleasures in its irreverent, violent, and affectionate take on outsiders forced into service. The show runs for two seasons of eight episodes total, with its story still ongoing.
