## Synopsis

Jack o' Frost (2023) is a Japanese boys' love miniseries broadcast on MBS. Across six roughly 24-minute episodes, illustrator Fumiya Ikegami (Kosuke Suzuki) capitalizes on the amnesia of his ex-boyfriend Ritsu Okusawa (Kyoya Honda), who has lost his memory of their turbulent relationship after an accident. The engine of the story is Fumiya's quiet effort to start over, living together again while Ritsu rebuilds his sense of who they were, and the question of whether a relationship broken by old mistakes can be trusted to begin anew. Supporting roles include Shuji Okusawa (Shoot Mori), Tomoko Miyasaka (Kilala Inori) and Keigo Kajiya (Leo Matsumoto), whose presence widens the circle of friends and family around the couple. The shape is a single contained arc rather than a sprawling saga, with each episode taking another small step toward reconciliation. The tone is wistful and tender, with heartbreak and gentle hope sitting side by side, and the cohabiting domestic setting keeps the drama intimate. Set in contemporary Japan, it suits viewers who enjoy the emotional restraint of Japanese romance. Fans of Eternal Yesterday, My Beautiful Man and The End of the World with You will find resonance here.
