## Synopsis

The Frog (2024) is a South Korean crime mystery miniseries created by Mo Wan-il and released on Netflix. Across eight hour-long episodes, a tranquil summer at a secluded vacation rental is disrupted when a mysterious woman checks in, and her presence unsettles the lives of the property's owner and the people around him. Kim Yoon-seok plays Jeon Yeong-ha, the owner whose composure starts to crack, opposite Go Min-si as Yoo Seong-a, with Lee Jung-eun as Yoon Bo-min and Yoon Kye-sang as Koo Sang-jun adding pressure from the surrounding circle. The engine is a slow accumulation of unease: every visitor's behavior becomes suspicious, old secrets resurface, and each episode peels back another layer of the household's hidden history. The show is a single continuous story rather than a case of the week, built for patient viewers who want to track clues. Its tone is tense, claustrophobic and quietly paranoid, with a stillness that makes ordinary moments feel dangerous. Fans of Big Little Lies and Twin Peaks will find resonance in its blend of domestic unease, guarded secrets and rural isolation, all wrapped in a moody Korean prestige drama style.
