## Synopsis

Unstable is a two-season American comedy created by Rob Lowe, John Owen Lowe and Victor Fresco for Netflix. Rob Lowe plays Ellis Dragon, an eccentric biotech genius whose mind races faster than his judgment, and John Owen Lowe plays Jackson Dragon, his pragmatic son who has spent his life living in his father's shadow. When the family company faces collapse, the two must work together despite old resentments and clashing styles. Sian Clifford, Rachel Marsh and Emma Ferreira round out the principal cast. Each episode is a brisk, roughly half-hour workplace comedy built around the chaotic demands of running a volatile biotech firm, with scientific ambition, boardroom absurdity and a parade of eccentric colleagues. Beneath the gags runs a tender thread about inherited expectations, unspoken affection and the difficulty of being seen by a parent. The tone is warm, joyful and breezy, closer to an affectionate family romp than a cutthroat drama, and it rewards viewers who enjoy sharp banter and lovable misfits. Fans of Arrested Development, Succession and Ted Lasso will recognise its blend of corporate chaos and tender family bonds.
