## Synopsis

Fisher (2023-present) is a Russian crime mystery series created by Sergey Taramaev, Lyubov Lvova, Aleksandr Tsoy and Olga Frenkel for more.tv and Wink. Set in 1986 Moscow, the story follows intelligent investigator Valery Kozyrev (Aleksandr Yatsenko) and his audacious partner from Rostov, Evgeny Bokov (Ivan Yankovsky), as they begin hunting a killer who is murdering teenagers in the area of the government dachas on Rublevskoye Shosse. Their engine is a case that grows more dangerous with every lead, complicated by an ambitious young investigator, Natalia Dobrovolskaya (Sasha Bortich), who is new to the work. The only witness who might identify the maniac is a schoolboy, Igor (Alexander Petrov), whose parents are deeply unhappy about any contact with the police, so the investigators must win trust in a closed and suspicious society. Each season unfolds across eight episodes, forming one continuing serialized story rather than standalone cases. The series is built on a slow, atmospheric tension with a grimy, cold palette of Soviet-era streets, offices and apartments, a grounded realism, and a mood of paranoia and dread. Fans of The Killing, True Detective and Chernobyl will find resonance in its period procedural approach, its moral grayness and its focus on investigators whose personal lives are slowly unravelled by the case.
