## Synopsis

This French-language mystery drama follows an investigation that begins with a single unexplained disappearance and gradually widens into an examination of an entire community. Its tone is brooding and unsettling, built from long quiet scenes, muted landscapes, and characters who seem to be withholding something. Rather than delivering quick answers, the series layers suspicion across relationships, families, and professional rivalries, so that every revelation complicates the last. Themes of guilt, memory, loyalty, and the cost of truth run through the story, with the investigator's own past shading the case. Violence appears in sudden, consequential bursts instead of constant action, and the emotional weight comes from grief and moral compromise. Viewers who enjoy patient storytelling, ambiguous motives, and a slow accumulation of dread will find the series rewarding, though those wanting tidy resolution may find its open-ended approach frustrating. The show rewards close attention, as small details in early episodes often acquire new meaning later. Its overall effect is melancholic and tense, leaving a lingering sense that the town's surface calm conceals something far older and more painful than any single crime.
