## Synopsis

The Madness (2024) is an American limited series created by Stephen Belber for Netflix. Colman Domingo stars as Muncie Daniels, a media pundit whose ordinary life collapses after he stumbles on a dead body deep in the Pocono woods and finds himself framed for the murder of a notorious white supremacist. Marsha Stephanie Blake plays Elena Daniels, his wife, whose loyalty is tested as the trap tightens, while Deon Cole and John Ortiz round out the principal circle of allies and suspects. The engine is simple and relentless: Muncie must stay one step ahead of investigators and hidden extremist networks while trying to prove his innocence and protect the people he loves. Each of the eight hour-long episodes pushes the chase forward with tense pursuit, shifting alliances, and mounting paranoia across rural Pennsylvania. Told as one continuous story, the series builds a claustrophobic, dread-filled atmosphere in which every rural road and motel feels dangerous. Fans of The Fugitive and Three Days of the Condor will find resonance in its wrongly accused protagonist, its paranoid American conspiracy, and its propulsive, tightly wound pacing.
