## Synopsis

The Story of Park's Marriage Contract (2023-2024) is a South Korean time travel romance miniseries created by Park Sang-hoon for MBC. Across twelve roughly seventy-minute episodes, Park Yeon-woo (Lee Se-young), a woman who has crossed from the Joseon dynasty into present-day Seoul, finds her path bent by a contract marriage with Kang Tae-ha (Bae In-hyuk), a man who strikingly resembles her former husband. Their arrangement, meant to serve practical ends, slowly tangles with old feelings, unsettled history and the expectations of the modern world she must learn to navigate. Supporting roles from Yoo Seon-ho, Jo Bok-rae and Cheon Ho-jin add family rivalries and corporate maneuvering in the shadow of the chaebol world. The story moves through alternating clashes of cultures and eras, with the engine of the plot being the question of whether a bargain made out of necessity can become something real. The tone is wistful and romantic, with comic friction between old-fashioned manners and contemporary life, and a steady undercurrent of longing. Fans of Mr. Sunshine, Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo and Mr. Queen will find much to love in its blend of historical melancholy and modern-day charm.
