## Synopsis

MH370: The Plane That Disappeared (2023) is a British true crime docuseries produced for Netflix and rated TV-14. Across three roughly 56-minute episodes, it revisits the 2014 vanishing of a Malaysia-bound jet carrying 239 people from all radar. Rather than dramatizing the flight, the series builds its case through testimony from people who lived with the disappearance: Intan Othman, the wife of a cabin crew member, and Ghislain Wattrelos, the husband and father of passengers, follow the family's search for answers. Aviation journalist Jeff Wise and former search director Peter Foley supply expert analysis, untangling the investigation's dead ends and the sensational headlines that flared with each new lead. The engine of the story is a stubborn question with no clean resolution, and each episode layers new evidence over earlier claims to show how fragile every breakthrough proved. The tone is sober, mournful and analytical, more contemplative than sensational. Fans of The Missing, Mayday and Making a Murderer will find resonance in its patient investigative pacing, its focus on grieving families, and its refusal to offer a tidy conclusion.
