## Synopsis

Fool Me Once (2024) is a British thriller miniseries created for Netflix, with a single season of eight hour-long episodes. Michelle Keegan plays ex-soldier Maya Stern, who sees her murdered husband on a secret nanny cam and refuses to accept the official story. Her investigation pulls in Adeel Akhtar as Sami Kierce and Richard Armitage as Joe Burkett, while Joanna Lumley appears as Judith Burkett, and each episode peels back another layer of a conspiracy that reaches deep into the past. The engine is simple and driving: Maya must track down the people who hid the truth while staying one step ahead of those who would silence her. The series is a taut, serialized mystery built on surveillance footage, buried secrets and tense confrontations, with a mood that is cold, watchful and urgent. Fans of The Night Manager, Broadchurch and The Girl on the Train will find resonance in its blend of personal loss, British prestige crime texture and slow-tightening suspense. It is a contained story that rewards close attention without demanding a long commitment.
