## Synopsis

Amidst a Snowstorm of Love (2024) is a Chinese romance drama series created by Mobao Feibao and produced by Jaywalk Studio and Tencent Penguin Pictures for Tencent Video. Its thirty-episode run of forty-five-minute installments follows Yin Guo (Zhao Jinmai), a rising professional billiards player who accepts an invitation to a tournament in the northern city of Hel, where she meets former professional player Lin Yiyang (Leo Wu). The engine of the story is the pull between Yin Guo's ambitions on the green felt and a relationship that unsettles her plans, with the separation and distance between the two shaping each episode. Supporting roles include Wang Xingyue as Meng Xiaodong and Ding Xiaoying as Lin Lin, whose lives touch the leads' careers and feelings. The series unfolds as one continuous modern story across a single season, set in contemporary China with snowbound winter scenery that gives the romance a cold, quiet beauty. Its tone is sweet, wistful and hopeful, with moments of longing and gentle melancholy. Fans of Meteor Garden and Your Name will find resonance in its blend of youthful romance, time apart and the costs of chasing a dream.
