## Synopsis

Blood Curse (2023) is an Indonesian supernatural mystery thriller series created for Disney+ Hotstar, a single-season run of ten episodes of about forty-nine minutes each. The story follows Wulan (Mikha Tambayong), a young woman who watches black magic strike her family and sets out to find the person behind it, travelling far and wide to confront the culprits. Alongside her, Ahmad (Lukman Sardi) and Astuti (Imelda Therinne) form the principal circle of family and allies whose lives are shaken by the attack. The engine of the show is the protagonist's need to protect those she loves while every clue leads deeper into a hidden world of occult practice, betrayal and secrets that people would rather keep buried. Each episode peels back another layer of the mystery, with red herrings and grim discoveries pushing the search forward toward a reckoning. The series is built as one continuous hunt rather than a case of the week, giving it the momentum of a serialized thriller. Its atmosphere is tense, dread-filled and often harrowing, with folk supernatural menace woven into contemporary Indonesian life. Viewers who enjoy Impetigore and the moody dread of Hannibal will find a similar blend of occult horror and investigation. Presented in a concise run, it rewards focused attention.
