## Synopsis

Luden (2023) is a German gangster drama miniseries created for Prime Video, drawn from true events. Set in 1980s Hamburg, it follows the Nutella Gang, a flashy pimp cartel led by Klaus Barkowsky (Aaron Hilmer) that is determined to turn the rough red-light district of St. Pauli into a glamorous enterprise. Its ambitions collide with the entrenched pimps of the GMBH, and the series builds its tension around the cartel's struggle to hold territory against rivals who refuse to yield. Jutta (Jeanette Hain) and Manu (Lena Urzendowsky) circle the power struggle from the margins of the trade, while Bernd Kühne (Noah Tinwa) and Andy Horn (Henning Flüsloh) carry the business and violence of the street. Across six episodes of roughly fifty-four minutes each, the story moves briskly through deals, betrayals, and open confrontations, with a gritty, neon-tinged atmosphere. Its tone is gritty and tense, with a sardonic glamour underneath the brutality. Viewers who enjoy Peaky Blinders, Gomorrah, and The Deuce will find a similar appetite for criminal ambition, vice economies, and period underworld texture. The style is adult and unflinching, and the story is contained in a single, complete arc.
