## Synopsis

Kitchen Confidential (2005-2006) is a American single season workplace comedy created by David Hemingson for FOX. Bradley Cooper plays Jack Bourdain, a chef who squandered a promising career through reckless self-indulgence and now finds himself at a dispiriting job in a pizza chain. When an offer arrives to return to the game as head chef of a famous restaurant, he must rebuild his reputation while managing a volatile brigade of cooks and servers. Nicholas Brendon, John Francis Daley, Jaime King and Bonnie Somerville fill out the principal cast as the kitchen staff and the restaurant's front-of-house people. The thirteen half-hour episodes run on a sharp, profane, fast-moving rhythm, with each installment built from service-night crises, bruised egos and the constant pressure of a demanding dining room. Its tone is breezy and irreverent, with a wry undercurrent of redemption and the lure of second chances. Fans of The Bear and Entourage will find resonance in its frenetic workplace energy and its portrait of a talented man wrestling with his own worst habits.
