## Synopsis

No Escape (2023) is a British thriller drama series created for Paramount+. Best friends Lana (Abigail Lawrie) and Kitty (Rhianne Barreto) flee the UK police and find sanctuary aboard a ship called The Blue, which promises a carefree life of beautiful people, parties and endless beaches. The engine of the series is their struggle to survive once that paradise curdles into captivity and mortal danger, far from home, with the bond between the two friends tested at every turn. Denny (Sean Keenan), Aaron (Jay Ryan) and Chief Inspector Sarah Craven (Susie Porter) add further pressure from the people around them and from the authorities pursuing them. The series runs for a single seven-episode season of roughly fifty-five minutes each, told as one continuing story in which each episode raises the stakes. Its tone is sun-bleached yet menacing, a glossy holiday surface sitting over paranoia and dread. Viewers who enjoyed the luxurious menace of The White Lotus or the fugitive momentum of Thelma and Louise will find resonance here.
