## Synopsis

NileCity 105.6 (1995) is a Swedish television dark comedy sitcom created by Andres Lokko, Johan Rheborg, Henrik Schyffert, Martin Luuk, Robert Gustafsson and Jonas Inde for SVT1. Across a single six-episode miniseries, the story follows Percy Nilegård (Johan Rheborg), a restless go-getter who has moved into commercial radio and is always chasing money. His station rents space inside a fire station run by the self-willed chief Greger (Robert Gustafsson), and the firemen there become part of the on-air chaos. Percy's engine is the hunt for sponsors, and his pitches grow stranger with every episode. Around him, main radio host Glenn Killing (Henrik Schyffert) interviews a steady stream of peculiar guests, while the schedule fills with a reggae program, a Friday party show, a teenage psychologist known as Farbror Barbro, and Percy's own management profile segment. Each episode opens with a relaxed, intimate profile of one of the firemen, giving the satire a warm, gently absurd texture. The tone is deadpan and irreverent, with a grounded mid-nineties Swedish media atmosphere. Viewers who enjoy the awkward commercial absurdity of The Office (UK) or the offbeat satire of Brass Eye will find resonance here. It is a short, sharp watch with a cult-comedy edge.
