## Synopsis

Wind Breaker (2024) is a Japanese animated action comedy series adapted from a manga and produced by CloverWorks for MBS and TBS. Set at Furin High School, it follows a group of delinquent students who perform poorly in class yet take real pride in defending their town. The engine of the story is the arrival of a victory-obsessed newcomer whose ambition disturbs the fragile balance of power among the local crews, pulling the protagonist Haruka Sakura (voiced by Yuma Uchida) and his rivals into escalating confrontations. Principal voice cast includes Akihiko Nirei (Shoya Chiba) and Kyotaro Sugishita (Koki Uchiyama) as loyal allies, with Hayato Suo (Nobunaga Shimazaki) and Hajime Umemiya (Yuichi Nakamura) anchoring the wider rivalries. Each episode mixes choreographed fights with light teen comedy and friendship drama, and the single season of twenty-five episodes plays as one continuing story rather than isolated cases. The mood is energetic and bold, with gritty brawls balanced by warm camaraderie and loyalty. Its tone and rough-edged teen bond will appeal to fans of Crows Zero, Gokusen and Great Teacher Onizuka, who enjoy schoolyard turf battles and comic delinquent heroics.
