## Synopsis

Rough Diamonds (2023) is a Belgian crime drama series created by Jan Theys, Yuval Yefet and Rotem Shamir for Netflix. Kevin Janssens plays Noah Wolfson, the estranged brother who comes back to Antwerp's diamond district after his prodigal sibling Eli Wolfson (Robbie Cleiren) sends the family empire into crushing debt. Marie Vinck appears as Gila Wolfson, and Dudu Fisher as Ezra Wolfson, with Casper Knopf as Tommy McCabe adding pressure from the outside trade world. Noah's engine is simple and urgent: he must untangle the business his family built, stop the bleeding of money and trust, and decide how much of his own life he is willing to trade to save it. Each episode moves through deals, negotiations and family confrontations in the tight, rule-bound world of the diamond trade, where a handshake carries as much weight as a contract. The series is a single eight-episode season, a serialized story in which the debts and grudges accumulate from one hour to the next. Its tone is tense and wounded, with moments of dry humor and a melancholic undertow about inheritance and loyalty. Viewers who enjoy the family power struggles of Peaky Blinders or Succession, or the criminal-adjacent dealings of Gomorrah, will find a similar appetite for ambition and fracture here.
