## Synopsis

Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields is an American documentary miniseries produced for Hulu, a two-episode limited series built around its star's own account of her life. Brooke Shields narrates her journey from a sexualized young girl in the spotlight to a grown woman who embraces her identity and voice. Commentators including Laura Linney, Scaachi Koul, Jean Kilbourne and Gavin de Becker appear as themselves to weigh in on the industry and media forces that shaped her early career. The engine of the series is a personal reckoning: Shields revisits the photographs, roles and public reactions that defined her childhood, and the viewer watches her separate the image made for her from the person she became. Each episode moves between archival footage, present-day interviews and reflective testimony. The tone is candid, intimate and sober, with a quiet insistence on accountability rather than sensationalism. Fans of Leaving Neverland, Framing Britney Spears and other celebrity testimony documentaries will find the same mix of personal disclosure and cultural critique. Set mostly in the American entertainment industry from the late 1970s onward, it suits viewers drawn to honest accounts of fame and survival.
