## Synopsis

The Midnight Studio (2024) is a South Korean fantasy romance drama that aired on ENA as a single-season limited series of sixteen episodes. Joo Won plays Seo Ki-joo, a lonely photographer bound by a family contract to take pictures of the dead for generations, and Kwon Na-ra plays Han Bom, the woman who protects him from death. Their story unfolds at a small studio that opens only at night, where the photographer's routine of documenting the departed brushes against his own mortality. Supporting roles include Yoo In-soo as Assistant manager Go, Um Mun-suk as Baek Nam-gu, and Park Ki-woong as Seo Ki-won, whose presences widen the world around the studio. Each episode pairs quiet encounters with the dead against a growing romance, so the drama moves through grief, longing and ordinary small moments with a gentle, wistful register. The show is built on the slow realization that life is precious when faced together, and its atmosphere of night-lit rooms and soft melancholy will appeal to viewers who enjoy k-drama romance with a supernatural edge. Fans of Goblin and Hotel del Luna will find resonance in its blend of fated love, mortality and tender sorrow.
