## Synopsis

Storm Over Paradise (Tormenta en el Paraíso) is a Mexican telenovela created by Caridad Bravo Adams and produced by Televisa and Juan Osorio for Las Estrellas. Its single season runs 185 episodes of roughly 45 minutes each, building a long romantic melodrama around Aymar Lazcano, played by Sara Maldonado, and Nicolás Bravo, played by Erick Elías. Their connection is tested by family rivalries and by characters who live under assumed names, most notably Maura Durán Linares and Karina Rossemberg, a role played by Mariana Seoane, alongside Eliseo Bravo played by Alejandro Tommasi. The engine of the story is the push and pull of love held back by secrets, inheritance and ambition, and each chapter is built from confrontations, reversals and emotional revelations that keep the central couple apart. The production was filmed on location in Quintana Roo and Veracruz, giving the coastal scenes a sun-washed, tropical texture. Its tone is sentimental, theatrical and heightened, with melodrama carried by strong performances and a pulsing score. Fans of Rubí, La Usurpadora and Marimar will find resonance in its blend of family feuds, romantic longing and identity-driven plotting, and the show suits viewers who enjoy a classic, unhurried soap opera that rewards steady attention across its long run.
