## Synopsis

Tooth Pari: When Love Bites (2023) is an Indian Hindi-language supernatural romantic comedy series created by Pratim D. Gupta and produced by Endemol Shine India for Netflix. Tanya Maniktala plays Rumi, a rebellious vampire whose broken tooth sets her apart, and Shantanu Maheshwari plays Dr. Roy, a shy dentist she falls for. The story follows their unlikely courtship across the crowded streets of Kolkata, where Rumi must hide her nature while the romance pulls her toward a human life she cannot easily claim. Each of the eight episodes of this single-season limited series mixes dental mishaps, everyday city chaos and mystical complications, so the central question of whether two such different people can be together keeps the plot moving. Supporting performers including Saswata Chatterjee, Revathi, Sikandar Kher and Adil Hussain populate the broader cast of mystical and human characters. The tone is playful and breezy, with absurdist humor giving way to warm, sincere moments of longing. Fans of What We Do in the Shadows and Warm Bodies will find resonance in its blend of undead outsiders, awkward romance and offbeat comedy set against a vivid Indian city backdrop.
