## Synopsis

Benefits with Friends (2024-present) is a Brazilian romantic comedy-drama series created by Matheus Souza for Disney+. Bruna Marquezine plays Bia and Sergio Malheiros plays Victor, two friends whose bond is the emotional center of the story, a safe place amid the surprises of adult life. Supporting principals include Danilo Mesquita as Marcelo, Sophia Abrahão as Giselle and Agda Couto as Érica, whose own romantic and social lives orbit the central pair. The engine is the tension between comfort and risk: what happens when a friendship built on trust starts to carry romantic weight, and how each character's career and social plans push against it. Episodes are light and character-driven rather than case-based, following ongoing storylines across two seasons so the friendship's arc builds steadily. The series is set among contemporary young adults in Brazil, with urban nightlife, shared apartments and group gatherings grounding its breezy, warm, sometimes bittersweet tone. Its emotional register is intimate and hopeful, balancing playful banter with quieter moments of vulnerability. Viewers who enjoy Friends, Normal People and the Brazilian young adult drama Malhação will find resonance in its blend of humor, longing and loyalty.
